Lookybook

I love children's books, but I like to look through them before buying--which makes Amazon less than ideal.

Lookybook is a new site that lets you look through every page of a book.

Simply genius.

Overstock travels?

Overstock now has a travel site. I like to watch Overstock for good buys. And I like to find good deals on travel. Guess I will add Overstock to my list of travel sites.

Where are your favorite places to find great deals on travel?

The Members Project

Are you an American Express carrier (or even a carrier of an affiliate card)? If so then get over and vote for The Members Project. The Worldwide Breast Cancer Project mastermind is a friend of mine. A friend who is focused on finding a way to help the world become better informed on breast cancer. She has lost two grandmother's to the disease, has a close friend now battling it, and has been working on Lemon Land ever since we were roommates (over 6 years ago).

Your vote counts! If you have an AmEx card, or know someone who does please encourage them to help make a dream come true.

Blurb

My blog has replaced my journal. And to keep it more journal-ish and less intraweb-ish I copy and paste my entries into an InDesign file and print them off.

Until now. I discovered blurb.com today. This amazing little site lets you make books. And with their wonderful software you download, it will automatically take your blog and make a book!

You choose the layout, log into your blog, pick the entries and away it goes. It will take everything from your blog (pictures and all) and make a fanatastic book. Blurb even takes links from your posts and includes them in the footnotes.

There is no charge until you actually order a book. BUT they do recommend you print out a test copy from your home printer before ordering...

So long copy and paste. I am now blurbing my blog.

Realtor.com

For the past year I have spent some time online looking at houses for sell in our area. Realtor.com is my favorite site, because it shows homes from many different realty companies all in one convenient place. Today when visiting the site I noticed a new feature, still in beta.

This feature maps out the houses that fit your search so you can see where they are located. It uses Microsoft Virtual Earth which is kind of like Google Earth and MapQuest combined. I clicked on our little neighborhood and found 3 houses for sell.

How convenient is that.
